Four British tourists in a wet t-shirt contest

Why do these girls participate in these wet t-shirt contests? I get why the guys go to them, who wouldnt want some pretty girls in see-through, wet shirts dancing around? For the girls though? Guess they just like the attention and these four British tourists seem to have a lot of fun in this one.
